AUSTIN (AP) – Texas senators are considering a requirement that doctors who perform abortions have privileges at a nearby hospital.

Galveston Republican Sen. Larry Taylor will present the proposal to the Senate Health and Human Services Committee on Tuesday. The bill is one of many efforts by conservative lawmakers to reduce the number of abortion performed in Texas.

Taylor wants doctors who perform surgical abortions or who induce abortions with medications to have privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of the abortion clinic. Supporters say the measure will ensure the safety of women who undergo the procedure. The measure is supported by anti-abortion groups.

Opponents complain that there are a limited number of doctors who perform abortions and many religious hospitals won’t admit those doctors, creating an access problem for women.

(CNN) — It was a gruesome end to what should have been a celebration of triumph.

One man’s legs were instantly blown off, yet he kept trying to stand up.

A stunning attack

Both blasts happened in quick succession, near the row of international flags that led up to the finish line. The impact was so powerful, it whipped the limp flags straight out as if they were caught in a hurricane.

It also knocked 78-year-old runner Bill…

It seems this unlucky traveller didn’t get the memo about what happened to the last mariner that stopped to ask for directions in Lagos.

While others fled the scene thinking it was a shark, fishermen who saw this gentle giant that needed directions and maybe a little push back into the open seas knew it was in fact indeed a Whale, decided to show some South Western hospitality by lynching their lost guest.

According to an eyewitness who took part in this bizarre feast, the sea creature probably got tired and weary from its long journey and only stopped for a rest and some directions to warmer waters.

”It’s definitely true, it’s happened in my area before. (Maroko). It got turned on and eaten by the residents after asking for help” – Eyewitness

Local residents who heard about the Whale also rushed to the beach side to take their own…
